Tempus: The Claiborne’s Signature Dementia Care Program

Memory care supports people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, with the safety and structure that can make daily life feel more comfortable. A secure setting, familiar routines, and meaningful activities help residents stay connected and supported. At Claiborne Senior Living communities, our memory care program is called Tempus.

Dementia is a broad term that includes Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia, among others. Tempus means time. Since dementia can change how someone experiences time and reality, our team focuses on meeting each resident where they are, with patience, dignity, and compassionate support.

Preventative Care

You might think that falls, ER visits and hospitalizations are an unexpected, inevitable result of getting older. You might think it’s especially true for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. But the truth is that many of these events are frequently predictable and avoidable. Changes in the way you walk or how you sleep may indicate an increased risk of illness or injury. With the right access to detailed, accurate and timely information, we can see what’s happening sooner and take steps to prevent a potentially tragic event from occurring.
